Batting For The Cycle

After a recent vacation, Andrew Sullivan seems firmly ensconced in his blog-o-bubble. He frets about how Obama seems to be losing news cycles, but I think the reality here is that the vast majority of voters simply aren't paying close attention yet, and won't until there are conventions and two names on each ticket. Nobody except the news media itself and total political junkies keep score this way, and they seem to have forgotten about all the low-level pieces Obama has put in place since wrapping up the nomination, like field offices across Virginia.
