I think Jack Cafferty is trying to out-Olbermann Olbermann. And, at a mere 734 words -- compared to 2,091 for Olbermann -- Cafferty's brevity is refreshing, particularly because he still gets his point across as well as or better than Keith does. Of course, he's been at this a lot longer. I remember watching him on the NYC local news broadcasts when I was growing up in New Jersey, although I don't think Fountains of Wayne have name-checked him like they have Sue Simmons.
