Sneaking Out The Back Door

NP: Pandora

This vote on whether or not there was genocide in Turkey is curious. Why go through this exercise when it could anger a key ally in the Middle East and cause them to withdraw logistical support for the war in Iraq?

Unless, of course, this was a stealthy Democratic move to pull the rug out from under the White House without withholding funding for the war itself. Maybe causing Turkey to withdraw logistical support was the point all along? I'm not saying they're that clever, but there's got to be a reason for introducing the legislation, doesn't there?
