Second, wasn't there a blog report somewhere that said Denis Hamlett would be told his fate first, on Tuesday, and then another that said he would probably leave for New York to work with Juan Carlos Osorio? Is it possible that both of those things happened before Spenny spurned the offer?

Well, the only silver lining is that if we can't afford Spencer, we sure as hell can't afford McClaren either.
