Meet The New Boss

Sources tell me that the sale of the Chicago Fire from AEG to Andell Holdings is complete. I had heard that the deal was imminent -- a matter of days -- as of the Kansas City match, but the news wires, such as they are, had been pretty quiet since then. I've been told representatives of the new ownership group have met with the front office already and laid out the process for the transition.

As someone who has lived through three different acquisitions and is staring down a fourth, my best wishes to the few people I still actually know (and perhaps even fewer that I would consider friends) in the front office.
