Dave Sarachan, Bookworm

The Fire head coach, from last week's SuperDraft press release:

"We did well with all five of our picks. This wasn't a year where we had a real urgency to fill any specific positions. We did our homework. We knew there was a good pool of players available and we were impressed with many of them at the combine, Jeff Curtin and Jordan Russolillo among them. Overall we're very pleased with our selections and we look forward to working with all of them. They will fit in well with our team. We always look to get players to help us improve."
Same coach, almost a week later after the Supplemental Draft:
"We had identified several players heading into today's draft that we were hoping to choose, and we got five of the guys that were very high on our list. We feel there are still a lot of quality players in these rounds of the draft, so we did our homework. Overall, I think the Supplemental Draft, along with the SuperDraft last week, have yielded some very good prospects for our club."
Either Dave is really proud of his homework, or somebody's cheating off of someone else's paper.

I kid the Fire's Media Relations Department, of course, although I may draw the line at some of their recent punnage. "Philly stake?" "Carr drives into Fire?" You guys are killing me.
