So I had stumbled across a new Chris Cornell single on Rhapsody about a month ago, and being a big fan of the majority of his work -- I even came around a bit on the "Billie Jean" cover after learning his arrangement for Vaughan's -- I was naturally excited, and fired them up in the streaming music player.
Boy, was I disappointed. Cornell went pop, and bad pop at that. Turns out he's working with Timbaland, who I tend to think is the single-most insidious force in music today. The guy wouldn't know a good song if it bit him in the ass.
Maybe the rest of the record isn't well-represented by the advance tracks, but I'm not holding my breath.
