Finding the Weak Spots

NP: Bears vs. Lions

Josh Marshall goes into detail on what the implications are or may be for all the early voting in this election, but the bigger point here is that the Obama campaign seems to have found another pressure point that they have (successfully?) exploited to their advantage, much like they did with the caucuses during the primaries.

Early voting provides both momentum and protection against Election Day voter suppression efforts, and I think the latter gets ignored. If a large chunk of the electorate that the GOP is aiming to trick into not voting -- like in Hampton Roads, Virginia, where they posted fliers telling people to vote on November 5th -- have already voted, then that effort is destined to fail.
