Electibility and Adaptability

NP: John Cage, 4'33"

Kevin Drum opines about the opining about an Obama backlash. Regarding the David Brooks quote, I think Obama has already sent strong signals to the teachers' union that they may need to change their tune. And Drum's further postulation about press accessibility assumes that Barack hasn't learned anything from the primary campaign. If we've learned anything through this process, it's that the man is not operating in a vacuum. I trust that -- particularly when faced with the "Straight Talk Express" of legend -- the candidate will become more media-friendly in the general. As Andrew Sullivan likes to point out, he's got game, and he's much more able to recognize where he may be making mistakes than a certain other candidate in the race, and seems much more likely to correct them.
