I Mist Again

This AV Club article reminded me of all those commercials I've been seeing for the latest Stephen King movie adaptation, The Mist. I'm a little bit afraid of this particular movie, because it was both one of the most gripping short stories I can recall reading from King, and also had the most unsatisfying ending ever. On the other hand, I'm really curious if they leave that ending intact, or if they come up with something new, and who exactly "they" are in that case.
I could dig around the interwebs a bit and try to find out, but I have this vague notion of even that spoiling some kind of surprise. Which is absurd, because I know how it ends.
