The Last Place You Look

I had thought reinstalling Windows would be the final attempt to salvage my desktop PC, but I may have one last shot. The OS clearly wasn't the problem, and in talking about remaining support options with the very patient tech at the manufacturer, it dawned on me that, despite checking my RAM with memtest, I hadn't actually tried removing the primary stick of RAM and seeing what happens.

So far, so good, but I've lost count of how many times I've said that to date. I've sort of made my peace with this whole experience, so if this works, great. If not, fine, I need a new computer.
