Did AG Gonzales really just say this? The constitution doesn't actually guarantee habeus corpus, just that the government can't suspend something it doesn't have to guarantee anyway? That's taking "strict constitutionalist" to a pretty absurd extreme. By this logic, doesn't mean that individuals actually do not have a right to bear arms? Or to free speech, for that matter?
