Progression and Regression
NP: Mr. Bungle, Mr. Bungle
Okay, the back is back, and the cold is mostly gone. So that's good.
The other thing that's good right now is that I feel like I'm getting back to the kinds of things I'm good at with regard to the day job. Which is to say, mad stats. Of course, I need desperately to refresh my memory on regression analysis, but I think that the tack I've been taking is going to yield seriously valuable results.
It's one of those things that pegs me somewhat unmercifully as hopelessly nerdy, but damn, this is fun. In part because it may unlock "secrets" of a business that's still largely in it's infancy or, at best, early adolescence.
That it's taken me nearly two years to wrap my head around it doesn't even strike me as any kind of hindrance. These things take as long as they take.
