No surprises

I don't know if I'm more disgusted or amused that the Chicago Tribune is running two stories today from the L.A. Times, which they also own, supporting the FCC decision to expand media ownership rules.

Isn't this exactly the point? That, through cross-ownership, a small number of corporations are able to foist their opinions on a larger number of people? And that customers are no longer getting a locally-informed editorial opinion, but that of a large conglomerate who may or may not give a rat's ass about regional differences and sensitivities?
