Two Points Make A Line

So, remember just the other day, when I said I didn't know if the Fire signing a Polish defender who had washed out of Real Madrid's reserve system might be the beginning of a trend where MLS identifies players who couldn't quite break through at big European clubs? Specifically, this:

So the bigger issue with this signing is if it's just an isolated case, or an indication that either the Fire specifically or MLS in general might be figuring out better pipelines for foreign players.

Well, D.C. United just signed a 22-year old from the Democratic Republic of Congo who never quite made it with Manchester United. I suspect we're going to see the level of play in MLS start to turn a corner soon. Or, at least I'm cautiously optimistic.
