Getting Closer

The CTA has approved the extension of the Orange Line down Cicero Avenue to Ford City Mall. If new Chicago Fire owner Andrew Hauptman really wants to show that he means business, he should work like crazy with Bridgeview to establish some sort of light rail or trolley across the three miles or so from Cicero to Harlem Avenue at 71st Street, making Toyota Park more accessible from downtown Chicago. As you can see below, there's almost nothing but rails between those two points already, so this actually might not be that hard.
