I had gotten in a quick debate on IM about whether or not John Thorrington might get the start on Thursday as a result of his spirited play and game-winning goal on Sunday afternoon. While I realize that Thorrington's current run of form is four reserve matches and less than thirty first-team minutes, I really liked what I saw. And with the Fire's biggest problem right being it's forwards, anything that gets Chris Rolfe closer to the goal at the expense of one of the two current starters is worth at least trying.
It would seem Juan Carlos Osorio agrees with me, at least as far as giving it a try in training. Luis goes through great pains -- if by "great pains," you mean "underlining" -- to stress that Rolfe played forward and Thorrington played right mid for the first squad only part of the time, and it would seem he was either sworn to secrecy on who Rolfe replaced up top (please be Wanchope pleasepleasepleaseplease), or he's just being coy to get people to add comments to his blog entry.
