That Sound You Hear

...is the end of Pablo Mastroeni's career with the U.S. National Team. Rico "Dick" Clark's rocking this almost 4th of July's eve!

Watching the Copa America match with Paraguay, the guy who is surprising me is Drew Moor, just because he wasn't on my radar at all and seems to be holding his own. And I don't feel too badly for Justin Mapp falling out of the starting lineup, as the odds of him dislodging DaMarcus Beasley and Bobby Convey on the left were pretty slim to begin with.

I think the USA may be destined to win this match, if only because -- and I swear I'm not making this up -- one of my tortilla chips was shaped like Louisiana, and another like Minnesota. I should have taken pictures.

UPDATE: Or, maybe not. Jimmy ConradJonathan Bornstein (I think -- Phil and Ray kept blaming the breakdown on Conrad for some reason) completely, utterly, misjudged the speed -- or lack thereof -- of the turf on a backpass, and the U.S. is down again.
