NP: The Futureheads, The Chaos
Going into yesterday's primary elections in a bunch of states, the predominant media narrative was still inchoate anger among voters manifesting itself as anti-incumbency and/or anti-establishment. Jason Linkins at the Huffington Post shot some big holes in that theory going in, and once the dust settled, Steve Benen nicely summed up how on-the-money that prediction was.
I know I've said this already, but if anyone tries to give you some coherent explanation of what's going on with the electorate right now and what it means for the 2010 elections, they're totally making it up. Particularly with the Rand Paul and Sharron Angle primary wins in West Virginia and Nevada, things seem more up in the air than ever.
