Coming To Our Senses?

I probably shouldn't read into this too much, but in one single RSS feed update, I learned that head "birther" Orly Taitz was laughed out of court, that a majority of Americans polled recognize that health care reform critics are using scare tactics, and that a Republican congressman tagged as an up-and-comer in his party thought Joe Wilson (R-SC) was out of line.
I'm not sure what to make of this sudden burst of level-headedness. It almost feels like I'm getting punked somehow.
