The Far-Right's "Katrina Moment"?

NP: Spain vs. Belgium

I can't help but think that this whole nonsensical backlash about President Obama addressing schoolchildren is waking the mainstream media to just how unhinged the anti-Obama ranks are becoming, and it reminds me of when the scales sort of fell from everyone's eyes on just how a Bush administration stacked with unqualified cronies wasn't terribly competent in the wake of Hurricane Katrina.

I'm really curious to see what sort of lasting effect this might have on that all-important media narrative -- whether or not the news media become more critical of all of these claims instead of relying on that fake objective balance that so many journalists force on to situations that don't warrant it. And if non-Fox outlets become more emboldened to cut through the bullshit, Fox itself will likely double down to galvanize its support, which could get very, very interesting.
