NP: Gomez, A New Tide
I'm not sure if I'm as willing to incorporate it into some sort of conspiracy theory, but I noticed a distinct lack of Iran headlines in the daily e-mail update from the Washington Post the other day as well. You might argue that wonkish health-care debates are just more their thing, but it was still striking giving the magnitude of the story coming out of Tehran.
This may end up being a moment of clarity for the news business as a whole, as things are really shaking out around which channels are dealing with the "raw" data that's emanating from the protests most effectively. There might even be a business model lurking in there somewhere. More on that later.
