Naming Conventions

Obviously, there's lots of talk around here about the new name for the Sears Tower. While I get that it had always been the Sears Tower up until now, I would be more torn up over it if Sears was still actually in the building. They're not, and haven't been for a long time now, so I tend to (gasp) agree with Eric Zorn on this one, even if he's taking more of a "you'll get over it or get used to it" approach. I'm just saying the building has no inherent reason to be the Sears Tower anymore, other than that being the name it was given in the beginning.
