What Happens In Vegas

NP: Muse, "Knights of Cydonia"

If you're wondering about the lack of posts lately, I spent the weekend in Vegas in an effort to sneak out of town for my birthday in a way that would keep me too busy to think about how I explicitly decided to be by myself for my birthday. It seemed to work about as well as I expected, and I may post some other thoughts about the experience later on, seeing as how it was my first time.

A family situation then took me to New York on a very early flight on Monday, and the best way to accomplish that was to not sleep at all on Sunday. I can't remember the last time I stayed up for over 36 hours, and this is where all that oxygen they allegedly pump into the casinos definitely helped.

I finally got home yesterday afternoon. Unwinding and decompressing is going to take at least through the thankfully underscheduled weekend, although I have to attend to my impending homeowner status in there and actually make a cameo appearance at work for a day and a half.
