From Ashton's Lips to God's Ears

NP: John Cage, 4'33"

Sullivan flags a couple of bloggers who suggest that the oil companies should bail out the car companies, which is an idea that intrigued me when Ashton Kutcher, of all people, brought it up on Real Time with Bill Maher last Friday.

The obvious problem is that it disincentivizes the auto industry from cleaning up their act with regard to oil dependency, but other than that, it seems to at least make sense superficially. Kind of like Ashton Kutcher? I don't even know if that joke works.
