Okay, maybe seeing one of these stories in an e-mail newsletter from a major metropolitan daily wouldn't be too weird, but here's an excerpt from the top stories as described by yesterday's Chicago Sun-Times Headlines e-mail:
- So who really did 'squeeze' out famous ad campaign?
- Man shoots family's pet goat after wife refuses to buy beer
- Drunk man runs naked on interstate
- Treasure found in Manhattan trash
Mostly the middle two. Forget the Manhattan trash, I'm finding treasure right here in this e-mail.
UPDATE: Great googly moogly, today's is even better:
- Burglar caught during nap
- Swedish women campaign for right to take off bikini tops
- Toilet use is group's top bowl
