Off To A Bad Start
NP: Joe Strummer and the Mescaleros, Global A Go-Go
Okay, so I got Windows up and running again, installed some applications, went to move some files from the backup drive and the machine hung again. The good thing about being all the way back at the beginning with the box is that it's pretty easy to just take another crack at it, and start controlling other variables, but I have a sneaking suspicion that this machine may just be toast. Having finally gotten both my backups and my installation files and disks somewhat organized, I'm less freaked out by this prospect than I had been earlier. I'm still annoyed, mind you, but not freaked out. And all hope is not lost. Just most hope.
