Back when Congress passed the revamped bankruptcy bill, everyone pretty much assumed it was a sop to credit card companies and the like, but I don't know that anyone really knew what form the benefits to those companies might take. Kevin Drum does a good job of mapping it out in the context of the subprime loan problems, complete with witty headline.
