Okay, my desktop PC is still almost hopelessly unstable, but it will boot up, it's finally set to back up properly, and I have everything at hand (I think) to reinstall Windows if I have to.
I would still vastly prefer that the problem would just go away. I don't get why it only seems to freeze with certain applications (iTunes, Picasa, AVG) and not others.
And now my printer is acting up. I love technology.
