Totally Fried

I just completely killed my desktop PC. I backed up the registry before using CCleaner, like I was supposed to, and "fixing" the "issues" it identified now won't let me boot up. Restoring the backed up registry won't work. Restoring the machine using System Restore won't work.
I'm hosed.
That said, I was about a week away from wiping the machine and reinstalling everything anyway, so it looks like that is the only course of action left open to me short of defenestration.
It's shaping up to be a dilly of a weekend.
