Whatever the eventual fate of the 2006-07 Bears, there is almost no chance now of Rex Grossman being the brightest QB star who crashed the hardest this season after Tony Romo flubbed that snap last night. Wow. Quite an ending there, and I'm happy to say that, despite not really watching a whole heck of a lot of football, I called the safety call correctly before the official decision came down.
Regarding the Bears, for all the ink spilled on Rex's ups and downs, it's going to depend on the defense getting their collective shit together after looking nothing like the juggernaut that took the field in the first half of the season. They might make it to the conference championship simply because everyone else kinda sucks, but Urlacher and his boys have to step up and force some turnovers again.
