Why I Can't Have Nice Things, Chapter 362

Okay, so I put a nice gouge in the media center already while I was positioning the TV on top of it. Didn't even last 24 hours.
The upside is that I can live with it. I don't know if I'm resigned to destroying any and all big-ticket items, or if the improvement to the living room is such that a little nick here and there doesn't faze me. Or if it's eminently cover-up-able.
