Bitch and Loan

NP: The Mars Volta, Frances The Mute

With all the kvetching about the bankruptcy bill that passed this week in the Senate, I have to wonder if members of the left side of the blogosphere will also do the smart thing and invest in Citigroup and MBNA as soon as possible. I'm still kicking myself for not buying at least a handful of shares in Halliburton when the runup to Iraq was going on. Cheney's old stomping grounds have doubled in value in the last two years, which should come as a surprise to absolutely noone.

Is this overly cynical? Yes and no. I prefer to think of it as realistic, but it's also hypothetical, as I haven't invested any money based on the news since watching the media industry sink really low a couple of years ago. And that's worked out great so far.
