I'm With Geldof

NP: Rhapsody, custom hard rock station

Okay, so I've had better days, and maybe the fact that it's a Monday is just a coincidence.

I got a little overambitious in diagnosing the over-a-million-cases datafile I've been working on, and not only did the program crash, but it totally fucked over the file. I have the raw data it came from, and the means to recreate the "final" product, but neither of these failsafes seem to make things suck less right now. It's not so much a case of saving your work as it is backing up your files, and I haven't been able to find out if tech has got my back on that count.

At least I figured out what was so fucked up about my contact lenses. If you've exhausted all possibilities for making your right lens focus properly in your right eye, try the other lens. Apparently my new cleaning/disinfecting ritual -- at the behest of my optometrist and the small semi-circle of marks on my cornea -- is going to take some getting used to, with regard to the whole left/right deal. Which is the one that makes an L with your fingers again?

This may be the kind of day that requires buying a new gadget to smooth over.
