Of Gods and Cars

NP: Gomez, Split The Difference (Rhapsody)

I've had the Parking Gods smile on me, and I've had them angry at me. But I don't know that I've ever had them mock me as openly and severely as they did last night. In a neighborhood where an evening parking spot is near-impossible to come by, it so happened that I was just passing through. So naturally, there were no less than two or three gaping holes in the typically dense layer of sleeping autos within a block of my usual destination.

I swear, I could hear them laughing.
