Navelblogging

NP: Mike Keneally and Metropole Orkest, The Universe Will Provide (CD)

Jeez, one or two big stories about the medium, and everybody starts getting all introspective and shit.

This is one of those points where I don't feel at all a part of the "blogosphere" proper. And for now, I'm totally comfortable with my couple hundred pageviews per day, even if a big chunk of them consist of bots, spiders and me keeping an eye on comment spam.

Maybe one of these days I'll set up Google AdSense or BlogAds -- which seems to be one of those indicators that you're trying to go "mainstream" (yes, I realize "mainstream blog" is an oxymoron of the highest order) -- but I still have that inherent problem of not taking myself or this site all too seriously. Which, I guess, could be part of it's charm? I dunno. You're the one reading it.
