Okay, if I've got a gig that gets me home at 2am, it's not a good idea to try the "no more coffee" experiment the next day. Even with the 1/4-day off I took to let me sleep in a bit. That's one really cold turkey we're talking about.
Also, if I may rant a bit about the trivial things, we have a sign on our coffee maker in the office that reminds employees to not leave empty pots on hot burners. What's missing, however, is the sign to clue people in that you shouldn't leave FULL pots on COLD burners, either.
And if you drink the last of the coffee before noon, you make another pot. It's just that simple.
