NP: Primus, Animals Should Not Try To Act Like People (Rhapsody)
I'm looking at this Kerry campaign report and on the one hand, I think I see what he's doing here. By accusing Bush of "choosing" this war, he's trying to get Bush to say "the war on Iraq is the same as the war on terror," as he (and to a much greater extent, Cheney) has shown a tendency to do. Then maybe he brings the hammer down about the lack of a collaborative relationship, involvement of Iran as per the 9/11 Commission, or involvement of Saudi Arabia as per Graham's new book.
What I would have liked to see, though, is some mention of finishing the job in Afghanistan as part of his other uses for the $200 billion already spent in Iraq.
I've got my better version of the Kerry-Iraq position worked out in my head, too, but I'll save that for later. He seems to be going back to that a bit, too, so I'm curious to see how he does with it. I'm not terribly optimistic.
