A New York Minute

NP: Stevie Wonder, At The Close Of A Century (Rhapsody)

I'm reading about yesterday's events in New York and thinking to myself, did we see this coming? Was the response harsher than we expected? Is this a comeuppance for a certain pride or arrogance? I'm sure there are those who feel it was a long time coming, but is that just mean-spirited territorialism? Is this going to be remembered by all New Yorkers as a serious blight across the board, or just by those of a particular, um, (pin)stripe?

I mean, really, 22-0? Steinbrenner must be having apoplexy.
