Our New Diamond Age

NP: Garbage, beautifulgarbage (CD)

Doesn't this sound a bit like the underlying social structure of Neal Stephenson's The Diamond Age? Or at least the first steps of how we get there. That's one of the reasons I really liked that book.

Biked to work today. Felt really good, and gives me the opportunity to turn things over in my head more than taking the train, even while dodging cars and pedestrians.

As expected, I was mostly useless yesterday, but I did manage to do everything on the agenda on Sunday, despite a half-hour wrench thrown into the gears very early on. Now my PC is bordering on the same, sans wrench, and I don't know if it's the XP upgrade or the heavy burden of a large data set.
