Osamanomics

NP: Yankees vs. Marlins (TV)

I can't possibly make this up. Would you care to guess who said the following?

"They also witnessed a budget deficit for the third consecutive year. This year's deficit reached a record number estimated at $450 billion. Therefore, we thank God."

Putting aside for a moment that it's actually only two years, that's from Osama bin Laden. Really. Apparently later in the tape aired on al-Jazeera over the weekend, he talks about a balanced budget amendment and how repealing the car tax will put Schwarzenegger in an even bigger hole in California.

More politics, mostly on my man General Clark, Iowa and conventional wisdom, sometime later this week.
