[drumming diary] Scared of (Palos) Heights

Okay, this is twice now I've been hugged by a bizarre blond woman at a Diver Trio gig at Trio in Palos Heights. Once more and it's a trend.

"Bizarre" is not the right word, either, but I'm struggling with the best way to describe these encounters. Last night it was some buxom lass from Texas who came right up to the stage by herself and started haranguing each of us in turn. Tony was giving her shit for being from Dallas given the Bears result last week. She finally alighted on yours truly and requested, nay, demanded a drumstick. After getting waved off by a bar back, I relented, and as far as I know, she didn't hurt anyone with it.

And no, "giving her a drumstick" isn't a euphemism for anything. Get your mind out of the gutter.

Lucky for us -- as was the case last time with the only Bread fan I've ever met -- she was gone before we took our first break.
