[drumming diary] Quandary

Long time, no see in this particular corner of the site. I'll try to change that.

Anyway, last night introduced one of those situations that makes my head hurt. If you're going to play a Ramones tune with a band, shouldn't you actively avoid rehearsing that tune? You know, to stay true to the Ramones aesthetic and all? A letter-perfect representation of the punk rock legends would sort of miss the point, wouldn't it? Three chords and a cloud of dust, man.

We didn't actually rehearse the tune, so I can maintain my fake moral high ground on this one for the time being.
